Dog Breed: Golden Retriever
In a dog’s world, Golden Retrievers are simply the fatal attraction.
They are a preferred dog breed, making great pets, hunting dogs,
obedience competitors, show dogs, and even a combination of all these
traits. No matter what your intent may be to own a Golden Retriever,
you’ll have an excellent dog that will live up to it’s potential and
then some.
Golden Retrievers are calm, well mannered, and extremely
affectionate. They are easy to train as well, very intelligent, and
great for those who need a companion. Golden’s are also loyal to their
owners, lovable, and great with children of all ages. They also make
great watchdogs as well, as they will bark loud and let you know when a
stranger is near.
A few ideas to help stop your cat from scratching the furniture and ruining it. There are other ways but these are a few examples

The simple answer to how you reduce cat hair on your cat is to brush them daily. There is of course a method to this that you will want to follow. Your cat will not only love your for it, they will be healthier too! The best method for reducing hair on your cat is to have two different brushes. Use one that removes surface hair and another longer bristled brush that goes deeper and massages the skin.
Some 5000 years ago (recent studies say about 100.000 years ago, but who’s counting) a smart - and hungry - African Wildcat somewhere in (what was then) Upper Egypt made a clever observation. “These strange and mysterious bipeds seem to be very fond of grain”, he thought. “Biped collects lots of grain and keeps it in big baskets. Big baskets of grain attract lots of yummy mice! Biped doesn’t seem to like mice in his grain! I think I’ll adopt one of these strange bipeds and live in his house and EAT HIS MICE FOR HIM!”
A Garden for your Pet Cat Cats enjoy roaming around in gardens, investigation and getting into mischief. Why not set aside a piece of garden to bring pleasure to your cat(s).
We have two house cats, a Ragdoll and a Persian Chinchilla, that love to go out and play in the sun. We set aside a part of the garden to the rear of the house which would be 3/4 lawn and the rest a planted raised bed.
1. Hip dysplasia
Hip dysplasia is a common concern among Ragdoll owners. Although there are no recorded cases, the possibility is high because of the Ragdoll’s bulk and weight distribution. It’s important to get a written health guarantee from your breeder to make sure your cat is safe.
2. Feline hypertrophic myopathy
A more serious condition is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a thickening of the heart muscle common in many cat breeds. Feline HCM is potentially life-threatening, and in many cases the disease is only discovered when the cat dies at a young age. Studies have shown that HCM is inherited, and runs along several Ragdoll lines. Although it can occur at any age, it is more likely to occur in older cats who would otherwise have passed the disease on to offspring.
From one of my earlier postings about adopting a kitten, I do hope that I was able to have offered some good advice and tips for readers.
In today’s posting, I am going to touch on how you can keep your home really ‘kitten proof’, without much inconvenience to yourself.
Now that you’ve decided where you’re going to go to adopt your new kitty, probably you have already narrowed your selection to one that you simply must bring home. You have stocked up enough kitty essentials, and you have even prepared kitty’s ‘room’.
Welcome to the daily event in my household known as cat racing. I have three cats but, two of them are highly competitive and have evolved into speed demons. I should have named them after race car drivers. They take chances. They are daring. I could sell tickets. These cats can be fast and love to see who is the fastest.
The dwarf cat has some interesting breed names. Dwarf cats are unusual and popular. People are interested in them. What is equally unusual and fascinating are the names of the various dwarf breeds and, more particularly, how these interesting names came about. Here are the stories about how they were created.
The stories about the creation of the name come from the person who created the breed and invented the name. Fittingly, sometimes the name, just like the dwarf cat, is a hybrid itself.
Genetta: This is a dwarf cat created and named by Shannon Kiley of Pawstruk Cattery in 2006. Genettas are being registered as an experimental breed with The International cat Association (TICA).
